1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Work Safety Index (WSI) website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on WSI's website for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only.

This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license, you may not:

  • Modify or copy the materials;
  • Use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);
  • Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on WSI's website;

  • Transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server.

This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by WSI at any time.

3. Disclaimer

The materials on WSI's website are provided on an 'as is' basis. WSI makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.

4. Limitations

In no event shall WSI or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on WSI's website, even if WSI or a WSI authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.

5. Accuracy of Materials

The materials appearing on WSI's website could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. WSI does not warrant that any of the materials on its website are accurate, complete, or current. WSI may make changes to the materials contained on its website at any time without notice. However, WSI does not make any commitment to update the materials.

5a. SafetyScore

The SafetyScore provided herein represents a subjective evaluation of organizational safety performance, devised and calculated by WSI using proprietary methodologies. The components of the SafetyScore, including but not limited to the Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR), Days Away, Restricted, or Transferred (DART) rate, Severity Rate, Fatality Rate, annual trend, and comparison to industry rates, are integrated to reflect our assessment of an organization's safety landscape.

It is imperative for users to understand that the SafetyScore is not an official government or regulatory rating. Rather, it is a unique rating system developed by WSI to facilitate informed decision-making by providing insights into the safety performance of organizations within the industrial sector.

WSI endeavors to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the SafetyScore; however, all users should consider it as one of several tools for assessing organizational safety. Decisions should not be based solely on the SafetyScore, and WSI advises consultation with appropriate experts when evaluating safety metrics.

By accessing and using the SafetyScore, users acknowledge and agree that WSI bears no liability for any decisions made based on this score. Users are encouraged to direct any questions or concerns regarding the SafetyScore to WSI's support team at info@worksafetyindex.com
